Join Us in the Fight Against Book Bans

Download, add in the banned books that have influenced you, and then share on social media using #BannedBooksShapedMe. Examples of banned books can be found on the American Library Association’s website and in this Book Riot article, but there are plenty more cases available online.

To stay informed about bans—especially those that might be taking place in your area—subscribe to the Office for Intellectual Freedom’s weekly newsletter.

We’ve also created a mock script for emailing or contacting your representative(s). We especially encourage you to contact your local mayors, school boards, and other figures. Look up your state representative contact info and senator’s info to send your letter to the correct place.
